Saudi Arabia's Food and Drug Authority has notified the World Trade Organisation (WTO) of two draft technical regulations for food contact materials (FCMs).
The first concerns general requirements for all FCMs made of metal, glass, paper, carton, multilayered textile and wood.
The second covers plastic FCMs only and includes general requirements, restrictions and testing methods.
The WTO is accepting comments on both papers until 1 December.
